About Me
I am a Fashion Design student at Wayne State University, graduating in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. My philosophy is grounded in sustainability and driven by the belief that fashion exists at the intersection of art and everyday life. I approach clothing as a living canvas; an accessible form of art that allows individuals to express identity, emotion, and culture through what they wear.
My passion for fashion design stems from its ability to communicate without words. I am inspired by the way garments can tell stories through silhouette, texture, and movement, transforming the ordinary into something expressive and personal. This philosophy guides my work as I merge artistic exploration with thoughtful construction and functionality.
I enjoy developing collections from concept to completion, emphasizing craftsmanship, fit, and narrative throughout the design process. My academic and professional experiences include presenting an opening collection for a student-run fashion show, designing an automotive seat during an intensive internship project, and earning a scholarship to study abroad in Italy, where I immersed myself in Italian culture, design history, and artisanal traditions.
My technical foundation includes garment construction, draping, flat patternmaking, embroidery, textile and material selection, trend forecasting, visualization, sewing, and fashion illustration. I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and industry-standard CAD tools such as AccuMark and CLO3D, which support both digital design and 3D pattern development.
With a focused interest in womenswear and accessories, I am currently seeking entry-level opportunities where I can contribute creatively, expand my technical expertise, and continue evolving as a designer within the fashion industry through collaboration and innovation.
